@sdw @kurt I think you're saying that Apple would have to open up the APIs for this so that other companies could build similar functionality that works with Windows. I don't think the DMA would force Apple to make a Windows client for this. So, if that's correct: what's wrong with that??Permalink On twitter.com

@sdw @kurt I mean, I can see two reasons for withholding this from the EU (so they don't have to share): - the API is so bad that it would be a security nightmare to open it up - they see this as a way to increase lock-in (instead of genuinely making the device more useful)On twitter.com
