      @JamesRLandrum @NiteLiteDF @firt Heh now I'm not sure if you're replying to "this is how it works everywhere" or "standalone web app is settled" 😅 Using the presence of a SW to determine "seriousness" has nothing to do with if a website gets to run in standalone mode once it's added to the homescreen, AFAIK.

    @JamesRLandrum @NiteLiteDF @firt Chrome (used to, I think?) checks the SW to determine if it should show an "Install app" banner. But even if Chrome doesn't show that, it will still install the web app in standalone mode if that's what the manifest tells it to do. Firefox same. Safari, too, except in the EU??
