    @joshhunt @jaffathecake Browsers would probably need a little extra to do things well. That said, every other OS gives browsers these abilities (even Android, which sandboxes apps as well, maybe just not as strict as iOS? Not an expert here) and that has been fine.

      @joshhunt @jaffathecake Also, Chrome was able to mitigate Spectre / Meltdown before OSs were patched. Safari / webkit requires that OS patch

        @joshhunt @jaffathecake Ah tweets but editable. *Required, past tense :) And while I'm at it: Spectre/meltdown were hardware level vulnerabilities (processor level). Chrome already had features ready to mitigate those, they just flipped a switch. I think it was site isolation?
