@technimad @dannymoerkerke Use cases for web push: - a calendar web app (Google Calendar) can send you a reminder of an upcoming event - a web rtc web app can send you a notification for an incoming call - a web mail or chat app can let you know that someone has sent a new message

@technimad @dannymoerkerke I think the Google I/O website lets you pick talks and sends you a reminder when those talks are about to start. A similar use-case would be a festival website letting you pick which bands you want to see.

@technimad @dannymoerkerke You could build native apps for all these use cases but that would mean at least 3 apps (ios, android, web/desktop). People would have to install those apps. They could just visit a website.

@technimad @dannymoerkerke Most bike sharing apps (Felyx, etc) should be just websites. Scan a barcode on the bike, opens a web page, you log in (/create an account), you use the bike, get a notification that lets you know the timer is running with a quick option to stop.

@technimad @dannymoerkerke You wouldn't need to install an app for a bike sharing service you use once every 2 months 👍
