But Safari catching up is not good enough. Yes, Spotify could now build their app as a web app and circumvent the App Store. And Apple could then, at some point, by accident, break background audio again and take months (or I dunno 3 yrs) to fix it.Permalink On twitter.com

Background audio that actually works on iOS is not something I'd bet my company on. We need browser competition on iOS in order for risks like 'oops we broke it' to be (at least somewhat) mitigated.Permalink On twitter.com
