@erikdotdev iOS Safari is not so predictable as you may think. For example, it behaves differently in PWA mode. If you add a manifest to your site and someone adds your site to the home screen, audio playback suddenly breaks, long pressing a link doesn't show a context menu, etc.

@erikdotdev True browser competition will allow users to switch, which in turn will create incentive to fix the Safari/WebKit issues that make users switch in the first place.

@erikdotdev Right now, Apple has little incentive to fix anything. A broken web experience will drive users to native apps and that's where Apple can exert control, collect their tax.
