  1. Sure. Make me enter a 24 random character password using an abcerty keyboard via my tv remote. There is a keyboard api which allows me to paste that password from my phone. But Apple opted to implement an entire new keyboard of its own. Convenient.

      Btw, Netflix and Amazon Prime do this too (a custom keyboard UI instead of pluging into the one that's provided on Android TV) and I'm the guy who asks: but WHY? ಠ_ಠ
