I tried finding the activity in the Google TV app apk file - I found it, but you can not launch it via a custom Nova Launcher widget (doesn't show up) or even start the activity directly through an Intent (throws a security exception).Permalink On twitter.com

Why is Google making this so hard? It's like the Assistant Snapshot shortcut. It's there, but you can't directly add the shortcut/widget to your home screen via its settings. You need to get a prompt in the Google app, and if you dismiss it, it never shows up again.Permalink On twitter.com

Btw, I tried clearing the Google app's settings, and I still didn't get the Snapshot shortcut prompt. I guess I'm not worthy because I disabled the Discover feed in the Google app (which is utter garbage, so glad it replaced Google Now). @Google #googleassistant #googletvPermalink On twitter.com
