      1. Every developer thinks their notification is super important. And if the dev doesn't, a marketeer/product owner/etc will overrule that decision.       If adding images and whatnot will boost the importance, every notification you receive will have images and whatnot.

    Android offers the same functionality (and more) but I wonder how many 'average users' know they can lower priority, silence or even block notifications.

      Android does a decent job of sorting your notifications (with on-device AI and pure magic), and reading this, I hope iOS will too.
