              1. I pretty much agree with this review. Netflix's The Witcher is very enjoyable. theverge.com/2019/12/20/21026537/the-witcher-netflix-review-henry-cavill Minor spoilers ahead 👇

The cast is good if not very good. Cavill pretty much nails it as Geralt, especially his delivery of the sentence "F*ck".

Visually it's great, too. Scenes look awesome, the special effects are good (especially for a 'tv' show), the locations are beautiful (or dreadful, depending on what the scene needs :)).

The one thing I don't really get is Yennifer in ep 1-3 vs 4-8. The character the series builds in the first ~3 episodes takes a very sudden turn without having a scene/moment that helps sell it to the audience.

        Maybe I missed something.

At one point she even blames a group of people for forcing her to do something she actually chose to do to herself. And she did it without the consent - or even against the will - of the very people she blames for it.

Anyway. This is just one scene, not a very big problem. And it's not like the 'new' Yennifer isn't interesting. It's just that I'm not completely sure what made her change between ep ~3 and ~4.

All in all: recommended, especially for those who are (even just slightly) familiar with the games (I never read the books, so no clue).
