"Apple changed Safari so that it would tell websites it is a Mac instead of an iPad." This is just an unbelievable stupid move. Some (read: a lot, probably) sites rely on being able to detect mobile (phones, tablets) and desktop (mouse) browsers. theverge.com/2019/10/7/20898883/ipados-review-13-apple-features-multitasking-sidecar-browser-bugs-computer

The same review: "[iPadOS] always comes up just short [of replacing a computer]. For me, it’s the new fancy “desktop-class” Safari. It just happens to work worse on one specific website that I need to use every day. (That would be Chorus, the software that runs our website.)"

Telling a website you're something you're not is. just. super. stupid.
